While standard filters are designed primarily to protect air handling equipment, MicroSponge technology goes further by capturing submicron or breathable particles that pose risks to human health. This enhanced filtration protects not only the equipment but, more critically, the delicate human respiratory system.

The human body has natural filtration mechanisms: particles 6-10 microns in size are typically trapped by the nose, while 5-micron particles are filtered by the tracheobronchial airways and lungs. However, smaller submicron particles can bypass these natural defenses, making advanced filtration essential for protecting respiratory health.

By capturing the majority of submicron particles with unparalleled efficiency, MicroSponge filters significantly reduce the respiratory burden on human lungs.

MicroSponge filters have a unique blend of polymers to create a high, stable active charge on every fiber of the air filter. This charge causes pollutants to stick to it like a magnet to steel. The charged fibers of these pleated air filters do not have to be woven as tightly as in ordinary filters; as a result, they will not restrict airflow. MicroSponge filters have the highest efficiency and the lowest pressure drop of any charged media globally.

Electrostatically charged MicroSponge filters out NaCl particles through it's entire depth, and permits constant free air flow through the filter.

Fiberglass filters must be tighter to capture NaCl particles. This results in a blockade on the filter surface, cutting off air flow and creating pressure drops.

What good is a filter if everything goes around it?

How do Zeolite air filters remove odors?

A three dimensional, micro-porous natural earth mineral, thermally bonded to polyester. Zeolite has the ability to remove Volatile Organic Compounds (V.O.C.) and gases. They are trapped in the void porous cavities in the filter. It is especially useful in removing Ammonia and ammonium compound odors such as pet odors and urine odors.

We have two filter frames that make using pleated air filter media simple. The Snap Frame and The Hinge Frame, they both work great with pleated air filter media.

Hinge air filter frame

This unique 100% aluminum air filter frame, utilizes 4 hinges on the front of the frame. Opening the hinges allows you to place the filter media into the frame. When you close the hinges they lock, securing the air filter media. The Hinge frame makes using pleated filter media quick and simple.

Snap air filter frame

The Snap filter system utilizes a two part frame. The two frame halves are held together by 8-12 neodymium magnets. To replace filters, just pull the frame apart. It’s so simple! As an added bonus, for systems that use multiple filters, Snap filter frames will cling to adjacent Snap frames.

Excellence in design and function

As an orthopedic surgeon with a wife who is severely both asthmatic and hypersensitive to most airborne odors, physical and chemical airborne contaminants and who had progressive COPD, I am understandably very concerned about the quality of the air filtration of our HVAC system. I have been using the Filter Factory microsponge filter system for some time now. I recently switched from the hinged frame to the magnetic snap frame to hold our microsponge filters in our HVAC system and find the snap frame easier for me to use. We have found no filtration system that can begin to compare to the microsponge system along with the Zeolite pad to remove VOC's. And with an odd sized filter frame requirement there was no other available filter system that could compare. Other companies may say they make custom sized filters But my personal experience is that these are lesser quality pleated filters in weak cardboard frames with two or more filters taped together with masking tape and which often collapse when subjected to the suction of the furnace blower. The Filter Factory custom aluminum frame forms an airtight seal with its rubber gasket and the filters work better than any of the many products on the market that we tried in years past to reduce dust along with physical and chemical contaminants in our home. Best investment you can make if you want clean air in your home for yourself and your family. I consider the cost a bargain for what we get.

Excellent product

I have been ordering the Air Sponge filters for some time now and never have I been disappointed in the product. It is of excellent quality and performs the job it was designed to do without fail. I depend on these filters to really clean the air because I have allergies. I don't think anything gets through these filters. They are truly like sponges that catch everything in the air in your home.

Literally, the air smells of the fresh outdoors!!!!

We are highly recommending the Microsponge and Charcoal filter combination (even for non-smoking environments for the cleansing properties) to all of them and expect that they will find their health improve in a short while!!! Your company is efficient, your response and delivery immediate and the product is awesome!!

Homeowner

This is my second go-around with this filter. COIT tried to tell me theirs was better, so I purchased theirs and my house was always filthy. I purchased the MicroSponge Air filter system again, and in one week, my house is much cleaner, and the dirt is visable on the filter. If you think it's not worth the money, better think twice! Great product!

I have been very happy with these furnace filters. In fact, when I first started using them, I told my surgeon's accountant about them since the accountant is asthmatic also. The accountant told me he just ordered online. He and his family live in a large home with two big a/c units. I am a nurse clinician, asthmatic with two big cats. Thank you for creating this product. I believe you deserve the positive feedback I just wanted to say "thank you" and this is a good time to do that.

Excellent Product

Air Sponge provides an excellent product and good service. My air processing units have an unusual furnace filter size requirement I have been unable to find in stores. This is no problem with Air Sponge, as they were able to construct frames for my air duct intakes, and provide me with refills for them as needed.

Quick and quality filters

I've used these guys a couple of times for custom filters for our Environmental Chambers we build. We need custom applications on several of our builds and they always come through with a quick and quality filter. Sometimes you have to think outside the box to find a great company.
