A:
The aluminum frame that we custom make has a leak guard seal on the back of the frame to create the air seal so there is no bypass. This is if there is a break in your seal in the future you can can use this to fix it.

A:
As time goes on the gasket that makes the seal on the back of the frame can sometimes get damaged. This is to fix any damage that has been done so you always have a good seal.

A:
You would start by pealing away what is going to be replaced, cleaning that area with a little alcohol to get rid of any dirt. Then placing the new gasket in the original place along the edge of the frame.

What is the leak guard seal used for?

A:
The leak guard seal is placed on the back of the frame so that when the a/c unit turns on the filter suctions up to the unit and the that makes a seal so the air has no choice but to pass through the filter and not go around it like with other types of filters.

Yes, this is what is around the edge of all of our frames and the product is for frames that may have damage to the gasket on the frames that are being used.

You would slowly take the old damaged seal off the frame and stick the new one in its place along the edge of the back of the frame.
