With 78 square feet of microfiber filter media GeneralAire's Replacement media has one of the largest particle holding capacities among residential air cleaners. Designed to maintain a low pressure drop, it will not interfere with the proper operation of the heating and cooling system.
High efficiency air cleaners incorporate a filtering media made from microscopic fibers woven
into an intricate web that traps and holds airborne particles of dust, pollen, animal dander, etc. The spaces between the fibers are so small that, in the case of GENERALAire’s replacements, particles as tiny as 0.01 micron are easily captured. By comparison, a particle 300 microns in diameter (30,000 times larger) would fit easily through the eye of a sewing needle.

Easy way to by filters
I have purchased this filter many times over the last several years. They work. For me this is the easiest way to buy filters. If I bought locally it would cost more and the cost to drive would exceed the shipping cost. A minute or two on the internet and its delivered to my door in 3 days. The packing is good and the delivered filters are in good shape. I get a reminder to change the filter when due. Changing a filter is a simple thing and this makes getting the filter also simple.

I think you mean 2200 and that is a different system then the 2400, We carry both

Is this just the filter or the container that the filter fits into or both? My Aprilaire black brackets are breaking off at the ends and I need replacements. Can you help?

I am sorry but no this is just the replacement material. We do not offer the brackets as they normally are only provided when the unit is installed.

It sounds like you need the replacement filter that goes inside the unit, but you need to make sure you have the spacers that come with the unit. We only sell the refill and nothing to accompany it.
