A: No, the Biosponge Plus refill material can not be washed. This would cause a breading ground for mold and bacteria. The filter material is meant to be thrown away and replaced every 60 days of use. You can however maintain your frame with a damp cloth so that you do not damage the gasket on the frame.

Q:I have a commercial dehumidifier that calls for the following size filter:
Merv-10 Size 12.83 x 13.18 x.59" Kind of hard to give you those dimensions in factional numbers. Can you help me figure out how we can order a filter and what my options are? The unit calls for a minimum of Merv-8

A: I am so sorry but we can not make a filter in these dimensions. Our filters are only 1" in thickness.

Q:I have the actual measurements off the current filter in my system. Do I list those when I order and you take off the 3/8" or do I figure that and list it when ordering?
Asked by: Nina
- 11/13/2021
A: We only suggest to cut back the size 3/8' if you measure from metal edge to metal edge. We do not automatically take any measurements off, what you order is what we make.

Q:What's the difference between the snap and hinge frames. I slide my 19-7/8x21-1/2x1 filter into the unit now.
Asked by: D
- 3/4/2022
A: As far as the way the filter system works, it makes no difference which frame you use. We offer the Hinge and the Snap for pleated materials to make it easier to take our and replace the filter when time but can also be used with any of the materials. Both will slide into your unit the same way as any other filter system. You can find specific of how both frame work on the site but again all the frames will work in your unit very easily.

Q:Can I wash, clean the filter and use it again?
I want to spray it with the garden hose, let it dry, and use it again.
Thank you,
Janet

A: I am sorry but no our filters are not washable. Washable filters are just a breading ground for mold and mildew. Even though you think you are washing it away, you are not getting the very small particles that you can not see and you are just feeding them. We highly recommend you throw your media away in the time frame we recommenced.

Q:Do I have to use your filter media only or can I use other filter refill from other stores?
Asked by: Napoleon
- 6/8/2022
A: We highly recommend our filter inserts to be used as we can not ensure the quality of your air if not. You also will void the warranty on the frame if you use something other then what we have tested to use the frame with.

Q:We need 15.5 x 19.25 x 1
I don't see anyplace to put the 1 inch thick. Also this filter slides in the front of the AC coil. Split system Trane. What is the brush. I didn't see it on a filter in your website
Asked by: Walter Moore
- 2/7/2023
A: The thickness of our frame is 1" and that is standard so we do not offer it when choosing size. You just pick your length and width. The bush gasket is just that, brush, sort of what you can see in your window sills that seals up your window from outside. If you do not need to slide the filter into a track and you just place it in front just like a grill in the wall, then you only need to purchase the standard rubber gasket.
