Q: What does the plus mean in the Biosponge filter with the blue writing on the from compared to the one I got last time with the green writing..?

Asked by: Gary - 9/1/2017
A: Biosponge with the green writing is a 30-60 day filter and Biosponge Plus with the blue writing is a full 60 day filter. They are manufactured the same but Biosponge Plus is woven denser so it will hold more, but can be restrictive if not changed in 60 days of use, Biosponge is a little more forgiving over time.

Q: WHICH SIDE FACES DOWN. THE FILTER OR THE WIRE MESH SIDE?

Asked by: ARNIE - 5/4/2020

Q: Unfamiliar with bio sponge filter. Getting a new AC for the condo. Tell me are they washable, or how often to they need to be replaced? I know nothing,,,,,please help? How pricey are they?

Asked by: mary - 4/25/2021
A: The filters we offer are not washable, as washable filters are a breading ground for mold and mildew. The frames are custom made to the exact size you need and you keep using that. You just need to order the refills to change out when required. This page is for refills, you want to look on the site for AirTeva Custom Filters for the whole system. The price varies on your configurations, but honestly not more then what you can buy in the stores for cardboard filters that are doing nothing for your filtration needs.

Q: Hello. I want to order air sponge refills for my custom furnace filter (original frame) and was looking at the possibility of adding a carbon filter to eliminate odors. My question is can my original frame fit both, the sponge and the carbon filter? and if so how should they be placed inside the frame. Thank you

Asked by: Omar J Morales - 5/16/2021
A: Yes, you can use the carbon insert with your Biosponge Plus material. The carbon is about 1/8 of and inch thick so it will go into the frame first and then your Biosponge Plus refill on top.

Q: My frame/furnace filter size is 21x21, but the refill filters are slightly larger than the frame at 21x21. Should I be ordering 20.5x20.5? I usually have to trim the filters a bit to fit the frame.

Asked by: Justin Mahani - 2/27/2022
A: The refills are usually cut to the same size as the frame and can be tucked into the frame edges. If you find that is too big for you then you are welcome to order whatever size you feel comfortable with. We custom cut all sizes.

Q: How do you measure for refills? The size of the opening, or the outside size of the frame?

Asked by: James Kent Planck - 10/29/2024
A: Your refill size is printed on the side of your frame. With most of our frames you order the refills that same size as the frame. If you have a SNAP frame then the refills have to be a half a size smaller then the frame size. First thing to check is the label on the frame and use that as your guide.

Asked by: Silvia - 12/7/2024
A: There is an option to purchase one filter refill at a time, but if you look at the label on the side of the frame you have you can see what size you need to order so it is correct.
