Q:I have a slide-in furnace filter and the slot is about 1/2" deeper than the width and height of the filter. Would this snap frame make up the difference at all? If so, would I order by filter dimensions or slot dimensions?

A: The Snap frame is 3/4 of an inch thick. We can make the length and the width to the size you require. We recommend that you choose the brush gasket on the frame if you slide the filter into the unit.

Q:Will the mesh in the frame contribute anything g to any MERV value or otherwise create more than a negligible disruption to airflow? I’m trying to keep as much airflow as possible, so I want to know if I should adjust the MERV value of the filter media I choose to compensate.

A: Yes. The mesh is made of polypropylene. When air passes over the mesh it causes friction, This gives the mesh a negative static charge, which causes it to attract and hold airborne particles.

Q:I am looking to replace an existing slide-in Air/Furnace filter. Currently have an aluminum frame with replaceable media - it is a wet/moisture environment and uses natural fiber cut-to-fit media. The aluminum frame measures 13.5" x 19.5" outside edge to outside edge. NaturalAire fiber media is 1" thick, and the aluminum frame is 5/8" thick (fiber media compresses at edge to fit snug in frame). I would like to replace the existing aluminum frame (which is bent, damaged) with a snap filter frame. How do I size this correctly and which of your products is best? Thanks!

You might be better off with an original frame with the kind of media your using.

Q:I have a weird size filter and was wondering if you guys have one that would fit. My filter is 21-1/2” x 23-5/16” x 1”. It shows the decimals as 21.5 x 23.37 x 1. Im just not sure how to determine what size I would need since those are the nominal dimensions whereas it says the actual dimensions are 21-1/2” x 23-3/8” x 3/4”. If it help, the SKU of the filter I get is P8S1-214-233 (Koch P8S1-214-233 - 21.5" x 23.37" x 1" Multi-Pleat XL8 Air Filter, MERV 8)

Q:I have been looking at your Snap Filter Frame.
can it be supplied in a length of 35 1\2" ? your scale only goes up to 30.
can it be supplied with mesh instead of an Electrostatic Screen.
Do you ship to the UK.

A: We can only make Snap frames up to 30". We would recommend two filters that sit side by side for a filter that large. We only make the frame with the polypropylene mesh. We ship Worldwide.

Q:Can you use this frame as a support frame for the traditional cardboard frames

A: No, it is meant to be used with our filter material, like the Microsponge. We custom-cut everything to the size you need, so you won't need to use cardboard filters anymore.

A: Our filter system is 3/4" thick, and that is standard. This is a frame only, so you may want to look at our system setup and also watch the measurement videos.

Q:Could I insert a regular 1 inch replacement ac filter in this frame? My vertical closet handler is mounted on a pedestal and there is where I have the slots to insert the filter.. The slots I have allowed for an inch and three quarters filter thickness.

A: You can not use cardboard filters in our Snap frame. It is only meant to be used with our pleated material. The magnets will not close with the cardboard in it.

Q:I have a Revolv furnace and the filter system was an after thought, on the engineering. Can the back bracket be permanently mounted to the outside of the the furnace, on the top cover? I would need a 19 3/4" x 20" x 1". I'd appreciate any info you could give me! Thanks!!

A: Yes, you would be able to do this with this type of frame. You do, however, need to use our filter material with this frame, as the Snap frame was produced to hold our material and they was it is made. It can not be used with a cardboard filter.
