Q: will the filters fit my opening?I have only 3/4 " thick opening…
12 5/8 x 20 7/8?
A: Most AC units are set to fit a 1" filter in them. Out filters measure 3/4" so it should be fine.
Q: The furnace filter that I bought is too thick and will no slide into my RUUD air handler. The width and length are fine..........what is my alternative?
A: 1" thickness is the standard for most units. Our filter measures 3/4".
A: Please contact us by phone if you have a problem as we do have a thinner aluminum that may work depending on how much thinner you need it. 1-800-757-1836
Q: How many sponge in the order?at present I don't use a frame just the sponge I wonder if it is the same filter I need
A: The filter can be ordered with either a trial size of 1 or a full set of 6 filters. We highly suggest a frame with this material so it does not get sucked into the unit.
Q: How does the sponge gasket seal get cleaned? What is the advantage of having this seal?
A: The seal does not get cleaned as it really should not be dirty. The filter gets sucked up to the unit and when this happens the gasket creates the seal up against the unit to stop any bypass of air around the filter.
Q: My A/c sits on a frame in the closet.
Do i measure the inside dimensions of the frame under the A:C ?
A: You measure the area from metal edge to metal edge that the filter will sit and then normally deduct at least 3/8 of an inch for the frame size. There are videos on our site to show you how to do this as well.
Q: it says for filter and it is for my airconditioner/furnace?
A: Our filter can be used for both a/c or furnace. All units need a filter.
Q: I would like to order a frame and 6 filter pads. How many filter pads come with the standard first order before i selectthe option to order filter refills?
A: When you place the order you get two options, either a trial size of one refill or the full set of 6 for the year.
Q: need sponge filter for my air conditioner size 21x21x1/2?
A: My system is 1" thick.
Q: How many filters in the trial size?
A: Trial size will be one filter replacement rather then the 6 filters.
Q: Is this the price I should receive?
A: I am sorry but I really do not understand your question? The price is based on the size and configuration of your system.
Q: I have a return air that is simply a grille in my Paris apartment. The filter is just a piece of filter media jammed underneath the grille. I want to use one of your filters—I would need the filter with its outside dimension including the rubber surround to fit inside the grille frame which measures 19-1/8” wide x 5-5/16” tall x 1-1/8” deep. I would like it to be a snug fit as there is no stop behind to hold the filter in place. Do you have any recommendations?
A: The gasket on our frame is on the intake side of the frame. The frame will measure 3/4" in thickness. We can make the outside dimensions whatever size you need. I would highly suggest watching the videos on the site to measuring help to see if what we have to offer would work best for you.
Q: I am not ready to order, but will be in May. Can you use the TRANE dimensions you have on file for me or do I need to have new ones sent to you with the order?
A: This page is for a new filter system of frame and filter refills. From the records I have of your name you already have the frame and usually just purchase your refills. If you are looking to order a new frame then you can measure the existing frame you have and that is what you would order. This size can also be found on the side of the frame on the label on most recent frames.
Q: can you order by phone
A: I am sorry but no, all ordering is online to secure credit card charges.
Q: ok does the bio sponge pull down the furnace unit as pleated filters do?
A: Not really sure what your question means, but if you are speaking about air flow then Biosponge is my least restrictive. Honestly my pleated filters are not restrictive either as long as you change the filters when you are supposed to. These filters actually catch what we say they do so if you let them go to long without changing it will get plugged up.
Q: I need a custom cut of 30x30 of the filter only…I already have the frame and grid. Is this size possible to get with you company?
A: I am sorry but we do not cut our filter material any wider then 25". Our material does not go that large. You can however order two sets of 15 x 30 and place them next to each other.
Q: Hi. You product looks great and is just what I need! The only problem is that my existing filter is 7-1/2 x 31-1/2 inches, but the narrowest width possible seems to be 8 inches. Is it possible to customize the width to be slightly smaller? Thank you for your time.

Q: can you you make the filter narrower than 3/4"..the slide in (vertical grooves/rails) they put in are narrow and even a paper filter gets scrunched sliding in.
A: I am sorry but we can not make anything less then 3/4" thickness in our metal frame.
